Jiangsu Yida Chemical Co., Ltd. was founded in 1996 and listed on the Growth Enterprise Market of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2017. Its headquarters is located in Jiangyin City. It is a leading domestic company in alcohol ether and alcohol ether ester fine chemicals. Its business covers the research, production and sales of alcohol ethers, alcohol ether esters, propylene oxide, hydrogen peroxide and other products, and is used in various fields such as coatings, electronic chemicals, new energy vehicles and semiconductors.
Yida's ability lies especially in its skills and research. Its main alcohol ether products meet national standards and it holds 36 authorized patents, including 27 invention patents. The self-developed propylene oxide HPPO method is environmentally friendly, long-lasting and has low consumption. The purity of its product reaches 99.97, breaking the technological monopoly of Dow Chemical.Electronic-grade propylene glycol methyl ether (PM) is added to the semiconductor photoresist cleaning section, supplied to leading enterprises such as SMIC and BOE, with a purity of up to 99.99%. It also produces its own propylene oxide and hydrogen peroxide. Compared with purchasing from outside, the raw material cost is reduced by 10% to 15%, forming a complete industrial chain of "alcohol ether + propylene oxide + wet electronic chemicals".
At present, the trend of domestic substitution of photoresist solvents is on the rise. Yida is the only domestic manufacturer that produces electronic-grade propylene glycol methyl ether (PM) and propylene glycol methyl ether acetate (PMA) on a large scale. These two are the core of photoresist solvents and account for more than 80% of the photoresist cost. Currently, the domestic annual demand for photoresist solvents is approximately 90,000 tons, which is mostly dependent on imports. Yida has built a 30,000-ton electronic-grade PM/PMA production capacity at its Zhuhai base and plans to expand it to 50,000 tons of wet electronic chemicals, directly supplying major photoresist manufacturers such as Nanda Optoelectronics and Rongda Photosensitivity.
With the rapid advancement of domestic semiconductor production, there is a broad space for the import substitution of photoresist solvents. With its unique and scarce position, Yida is expected to become a key player in the domestic photoresist industry chain and enjoy the benefits of industry development.
